What are different types of XML Sitemaps for Google?

Xml sitemap is a collection of URLs present in a website. These URLs can be the list of pages, list of images, or list of videos in a website. The Xml sitemap also contains other information like last modification date, frequency to crawl the page for changes and priority of a page in the website.

The aim of the sitemap is to inform search engines about the list of such URLs so that it can find all URLs present on the website without crawling. Without a sitemap, web crawlers can only find all pages in a website by crawling the website and crawling each page in a website takes time.

How to generate robots.txt for google?
